Trafalgar Square
Trafalgar Square is one of the most visited tourist attractions of London. It was designed by John Nash and built between 1829 and 1841, in honor of Horatio Nelson's victory at the Battle of Trafalgar. What stands out most in this square is a great column of Nelson and the four giants who are lions at its base. Other monuments in the square are a statue of Charles I and the sources. In the north of the square is the National Gallery. During Christmas, Trafalgar Square displays all the years biggest Christmas tree in London, which is a gift from Norway. Trafalgar Square is used for celebrations of national and even worldwaide.

Notting Hill carnival
Every year in August there is a huge Caribbean party in London. N early two million people come to enjoy the music, dancing and fun of the Notting Hill carnival.
The carnival is more than forty years old, and lasts for two days, a Sunday and a M onday.
The carnival music is calypso, traditional music from the Caribbean. F ood is also a big attraction and there are a lot of street stalls selling delicious carnival food.
